How we write and check questions

Trust is the whole product, so here is exactly where questions come from.

Sources

  • Parcha original. Written by us from the official syllabus (PMDC, the boards, FPSC) and from facts in textbooks and open sources. Facts are not copyrighted; textbook wording is, so we write our own.
  • Official papers. Where a board, PMDC or FPSC has released a paper publicly, we will re-type its MCQs (never scans) with the paper named on every question, for example “BISE Lahore 2023, Paper I, Q4”, and link to the official PDF. None are live yet: we are asking the boards for permission first.
  • Never: other websites’ or apps’ question banks, “recollected” job-test MCQs copied between sites, or leaked papers.

Checking

A reviewer answers each question blind, before seeing our key; a disagreement goes to a second reviewer. Only then does a question lose its “Sample” label. Every question carries an explanation in English and Urdu; drafts may be prepared with help from an AI model, but a person checks every one, and the AI never writes the answer key.

Corrections

Every question has “Report an error”. We look at every report within 48 hours. When an answer or wording changes, the question gets a new version, its page lists the change with the date, and your earlier attempts are re-graded.

Labels you will see

  • Sample: written by Parcha, not yet checked by a subject reviewer.
  • Model paper: a set of Parcha questions laid out like a board’s objective part. It is not an official paper.
  • Expected: a date window from recent years, shown until an official notice gives the date.
